Let me build your website and earn your business. Three of the key factors that I base my business on are Quality, Affordibility and Customer Service. I also do not use any kind of site builder or programming helper software. I code all my sights by hand. The main reason for this is quality. Using sitebuiders is a great way to mass produce websites but the quality and hands on is just not there. Since I hand craft my sites for my customers needs it just makes sense not to use them. Hand Coding also allows me to do some internal documentation as I code so that you (the customer) can follow along.
Before you purchase anything check us out and you will see for yourself why our customers say you get more from us than many others on the market today. Talk to our customers, we invite you to do so. In an effort to assist you in the decision making process i have included the text below.
How to shop for website company:
When shopping around for a website company the very first thing you should do is go to this link W3C Validator and type in the web address for the website company you are considering to see if they are W3C compliant, should say PASS or NO ERRORS.
Also check the websites they have written under their portfolio to see if they code their customers sites as compliant. Some companies will mass produce sites and use preform templates that can cause issues later down the road. If there are no errors then you know they took to time for quality coding and you stand a better chance of getting a better site from a better company.
However if you see errors (especially alot of them) it tells you that they are coding hacks and they put out websites in volume like an assembly line and they do not worry about quality just quantity. It also tells you that they probably use a site builder software or pre-purchased templates and just throw sites together as quickly as possible. If you want that kind of site go for it! Your just asking for issues later down the road if you do. But you will pay less from me and get a much better website. I don't want you to have to get a poorly built website just because you may be having some financial issues right now, we can always work something out.
It is important to understand that this applies to html and css driven websites only. PHP driven sites are a whole other ball game. Yes i build php websites as well and also code php software. I just wanted to point out that since we are talking about html sites here then the validation can be quite different when it comes to php sites.
If you want a quality site that is built from scratch with quality in mind then go for a company such as us, we do not use site builder software, we hand write our sites from scratch so that we know the quality meets our high standards, also all of our sites are W3C Compliant (unless our customer wants something different). You can check any of our sites by clicking on the W3C logo on the site itself or simply type in our url using the W3C link provided above.
Do Your Homework and Buyer Beware:
Talk to perspective website companies and get to know them and do they really seem to understand your needs? If they do not ask alot of questions and try to rush you into purchasing then back away from them. What is the turn around time for the site? An honest knowledgable web designer will be right up front with you. Nothing happens overnight, it will take time to get it just right for you. Do they have a site similar to the one your talking about or do they know a customer who does that you can talk to regarding the challenges? I would rather be honest with you and tell you the challenges you face and possibly loose the business than to just build you a site just to make a sale. It is all about getting to know your needs and your vision.
Word of caution if you hire someone and you don't see any completed work at all within a week after they start, you need to start asking some questions really fast and this should be a red flag to you right off the bat. I have customers that i salvaged their sites from "would be coders" that did not know what they were doing and kept making excuses to the customer as to why not even one page was done on the site. There are ripoff artists out there especially if you do business with someone outside of the United States. For example many of my customers that were ripped off were cheated by people
posing as coders from india. If your coder says he is from india or anywhere outside the USA you really need to understand if they decide to take your money and run there is little you can do. At least in the USA (and make them prove they are from the USA) you have some recourse to try to get your money back or the job completed. Not that they are all bad, i am just saying please be carefull and take extra steps when doing business with companies outside of the USA.
In the end what you want is a company that will stick with you and be a partner. One that is not about making a fast buck, but one that will travel the road with you. I always run this business with two things in mind:
"What happens to my customers happens to me"
and
"My customers success is my success"
We have a plan and a website, now what?:
Once you have established a workable game plan then you need to find your niche in the industry. Most everything that can be done has been done on the internet. Your success or failure is bound by your ability and the ability of your website to capture the attention of the masses and channel that attention into sales. That means that your message should be clear, crisp, focused and informative. What is the sence in getting 10,000 page views if your not capturing the right audience? That is the secret, to capture that percentage of the web searchers that are specifically seeking your kind of product or service, which will lead to more sales.
If you are proficient in the industry then talk about your knowledge. Talk about what sets you aside from the others. Stay focused on what makes you, your product or service outstanding. And by all means once you have made a sale, take care of those customers like they are gold, because they really are.
Unless you have a one in a million type idea that is revolutionary you need to understand right from the start that making money online takes time, patience, and dedication. Very few people now days are overnight successes but you need to have the same passion regardless. Only through long term dedication and getting your message out will you eventually find your true niche and earn the respect for repeat and loyal customers.
One of the most important things to understand is that many of the online business we hear about day in and day out in commercials on TV where in business in their local markets for many years before going viral and nationwide. One in particular that is a list for contractors was in business for 15 years in their local
market before they went big time, just be patient.
We are here to help you from beginning to end, top to bottom. If you have a need or a dream then do not put it off till tomorrow because success waits for noone. I look forward to discussing your dream with you and becoming a lifelong partner in your overall success. And I look forward to earning your business every day.
Sincerely,
Dave
