A favicon is a favorites icon. When anyone adds any website to their favorites instead of showing the default internet explorer or other default picture for the site, YOU can create a picture to display not only on your desktop for the site but also in your favorites list and in the url bar also.
Having a favicon on your site makes it so much easier to find your site on any favorites list, just look for the picture and click. The Durangodaves favicon looks like this. (but of course without the sample mark)

There are many resources out there for creating your own favicon through videos and text descriptions and some are legitimate and some are not. If your new to this process then your not alone, and you have probably already become frustrated with several things.
You have a great picture you want to use but when you resize it down to the favicon size as per the online instructions then your great picture is distorted and looks horrible.
You have tried using many of the online suggestions or even watched some videos or used the automatic scripts or free software out there to create a favicon for you only to find that many of them dont work and your favicon still looks distorted and horrible.

We did this page for one reason and this is to help you make your favicon so that you can focus on building your business and not getting frustrated dealing with some of the online pitfalls associated with creating favicons.

We have been through the process many times and can save you tons of time and frustration.
Your stuff is your stuff, we will not keep copies of your pictures/favicon or any of your files. Once the job is complete your items are deleted from our system, this helps to assure your property will not be stolen or used for any other purposes.
The only exception to this would be on a case by case basis if given permission by you to put a sample mark on your favicon to display as a sample of our work only. We will not maintain any orginal copies of your favicon (only the one with the sample mark on it) This is also a great way to get another link to your site.
Charges
We only charge $5.00 for each favicon that you get from us as a completed project.
There are no subscription fee. We do quality work and we are dedicated to customer service, we want you to have what your looking for. If we cannot help you with your project we will tell you before you pay anything and if we say yes , you can pay half now and half later when final copy is done if you prefer.
What we Need from you!
1. If you want us to design it from a picture, we need you to send us the picture you want to use for the favicon, otherwise skip to step 4 below.
2. Picture can be most any "normal" size (normal size meaning please dont send us a 4GB file ok.)
3. Picture can be any resolution but try to keep it as normal as possible, we prefer 200x200 but most any will work, if its not dont worry,just let us play with it and see.
4. We also ask that if we do the favicon for you that you include a link to our site on your links page as we will do the same for you. This helps both of us.
Of course before we officially start the project we will ask for your $5.00 per Favicon by using the Pay Now button provided below.

We will email you our findings once we receive the pic and we will wait for your payment before sending you a first proof of your favicon. Once started many projects are completed within 1-2 business days allowing time for communication with you. We can even assist you in getting it up and running on your site.
